Castril’s main fiesta is The Bull Festival from the first to the second Sunday each October.
The side streets are cordoned off and the cobbled square is covered in sand for “the Running of the Bulls”.
Uniquely to Castril, the bulls used here are actually calves and it’s the “ brave “ men and women who taunt them that end getting hurt; well at least their pride anyway!
